Job Summary
Toronto CCM Centre is seeking a warm, relational, and energetic Youth Ministry Worker
with a social work or youth-related background. The ideal candidate is someone who
naturally connects with young people, builds trust, and supports their emotional, social,
and spiritual growth.
This role focuses on relationship-building, youth engagement, program support, and
contributing to the development of the new Young Adult Project, which aims to strengthen
the transition from high school into young adulthood through mentorship, life-navigation
support, and community belonging.
Roles and responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Build meaningful, trust-filled relationships with youth that nurture growth, confidence, and belonging.
- Create welcoming, engaging youth environments where young people feel safe, supported, and valued.
- Support youth programs, small groups, and events that inspire spiritual, emotional, and social development.
- Contribute to the launch and growth of the Young Adult Project, helping older teens transition confidently into adulthood.
- Partner with families and volunteers to build a holistic support network for youth and young adults.
- Assist with communications, logistics, and administration to keep ministry life-running smoothly and joyfully.
Requirements/Skills/Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working with youth in community agencies, schools, camps, or church ministries (asset).
- A heart for youth, with strong interpersonal skills, emotional maturity, and the ability to build rapport.
- Strong organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin preferred; Cantonese is an asset.
- Commitment to CCM’s mission and values, and alignment with its Christian faith foundation.
- Valid driver’s license is an asset.
