Women Minster (Cantonese Speaking Congregation) (2 year contract)

Position reports to a CSC Pastor

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Direct ministries related to women and families in CSC.
Provide support, visitation and pastoral care to CSC members and newcomers
related to women and families.
Develop leaders, including recruiting, training, and nurturing of workers related to
women and families in CSC.
Develop evangelistic strategy and implement outreach plans to Cantonese
speaking women and families in the community.
Attend and coach CSC women’s Bible study group.
Attend CSC fellowships as assigned by the Supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Work with the Senior Pastor and pastors of all congregations. Ensure that the
ministry plan supports the Church’s direction and complements the activities of other ministries.

Requirements and Qualifications:

A Seminary degree is required. Ongoing desire and willingness to continue in
education/professional development are expected.
1+ years of experience in a similar ministry-related role is preferred.
Ability to recruit, train, support, evaluate, and affirm others.
Passion in reaching out to the lost souls in the community. Ability to mobilize church congregants to participate in evangelism and discipleship.
Excellent people skills. Proven Team builder and player. Relational with different age groups of people to contribute to the unity of the Church.
Fluency and proficiency in Cantonese. Knowledge of English and Mandarin is an asset.
Able to submit to the spiritual authority of the Senior Pastor. Able to work as a team with other pastors. Ability to supervise and administrate and follow the church policies and procedures.
Recognizing that this role is integral to the Church’s overall faith and practice, the incumbent must agree to abide by the Church’s Bylaws and policies, including but not limited to the Ethical Conduct Policy and the Non-Harassment Policy, be subject to the Church’s authority in the same manner as all members of the Church, and is expected to attend the Church’s worship services and prayer meetings.
